CSUSM offers an intensive Pre-Health Professions post-baccalaureate that provides students with the Science and Math courses they need for entrance into various Health Professions programs.
This program prepares students who have completed a non-life science degree in areas such as Anthropology or English to gain the knowledge base required to become competitive applicants to health professions schools such as dental, medical or veterinary. At nearly every university, the subjects of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology are heavily impacted. At CSUSM, the cohort structure of the Pre-Health Professions program alleviates this problem with guaranteed classes.
