Office of the Registrar Home

Welcome to the Office of the Registrar!

The Office of the Registrar provides an important link between the academic policies of CSUSM and our academic departments and students.  What is a registrar? A university registrar maintains the academic records of all registered students by providing services including:
  • Verifying student status
  • Confirming graduation and issuing diplomas
  • Providing transcripts
  • Providing enrollment periods to students to register for classes

It is the responsibility of the Office of the Registrar to safeguard the security and integrity of information, while working toward providing fast and friendly service.  For the protection of student's right to privacy, the Registrar ensures the University's compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Mission Statement

Working together as a team, we strive for excellence in serving the university community in upholding institutional integrity through policies and procedures which support and yield student success.

Please take a moment to review your Academic Advising Report (ARR) in your Student Center on MyCSUSM. This is the best way to prepare for registration. Reviewing your ARR will provide quick access to the following information:

  • Answers the question: "What courses do I need to take to graduate?"
  • Status on your requirements that are MET and those that you NEED

For instructions on how to run and review your ARR please refer to the following website: ARR Training Document
