What is the Student Philanthropy Council?

Established in 2011, the Student Philanthropy Council is a committee of students dedicated to growing the culture of giving on campus and raising money for the Student Philanthropy Fund. Donations go to the "Student Philanthropy Fund Endowed Scholarship" to support a student in his or her CSUSM journey. Donations can also go to the donor's specific designation choice.

Top Four Reasons to Give!

  1. An anonymous donor has challenged us to raise $5,000, which will be matched dollar for dollar, doubling the impact of your gift.
  2. Others gave before you! The reason many programs, scholarships, and other opportunities at CSUSM exist is because of the generosity of past students, alumni, and friends of the university.  Learn more about 25 Ways Philanthropy Impacts YOU at CSUSM.
  3. 73% of CSUSM students receive financial aid to support their education each year. Student Philanthropy Fund gifts create more scholarships for these students.
  4. Create an environment at CSUSM of "giving back!"

Your Giving Options

  1. We suggest a gift of $20.16 in honor of the Class of 2016. Many give more, some give less, but it's your choice! EVERY gift, no matter the size, makes an impact.
  2. Complete the Student Philanthropy Fund gift form and return it to a committee member or to University Advancement in Craven 5308-B.
  3. Stop by the Office of Annual Giving in Commons 201.
  4. Or give online with credit card.

Past Donors

CSUSM thanks all donors who have given to the Student Philanthropy Fund, formerly known as the Senior Class Gift Campaign.
