Human Development - Mental Health Awareness Event - 2015

Students majoring in Human Development are known for their community engagement. Students tend to get involved with clubs across the campus and participate in a wide range of campus and community events. The Human Development Club often joins in large scale activities, such as the MSWalk, and coordinates several activities with the HD Chapter of the Alumni Association.

The curriculum of the B.A. in Human Development facilitates many opportunities for students to become more familiar with service to the community, both locally and globally. Service Learning is included throughout the curriculum.  The Human Development major culminate is 90 hours of field work that is equal to an internship.  These learning activities help students to clarify their career objectives, gain human service competence, and establish important networks.
