First employed here at CSUSM in late September 2002 within Facility Services as Assistant Director of Operations, Steve joined Planning, Design and Construction as a Project Manager in 2008. He manages all activities surrounding a project from the conception of a project to completion of construction. Steve started his construction industry career in 1985 as an Electrician with a C10 license. During that time, he worked in both Los Angeles and San Diego Counties. Once his career began at CSUSM, he was able to gain various industry certifications including LEED-GA and Master Project Manager (MPM) and most recently his DBIA certification. Steve has been involved with the following projects in either design or construction phases: Center for Children and Families, Public Safety Building, ESCO Campus Utility Upgrade, University Student Union, Student Health and Counseling Services, and The Field House Expansion/Sports Center.
