We know the impacts of the coronavirus have created many questions for our incoming
students. We have collected answers here and are excited to support you through this
transition. Welcome to the Cougar Family!
Yes, the deadline to submit your intent to enroll and the $150 enrollment deposit
has been pushed back to June 1. This challenging period has required you to make numerous
unexpected adjustments due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and we want to ensure you have
additional time to consider this important decision.
In-person campus tours have been canceled through the end of the spring semester as
a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, virtual tours are available any time on
our Campus Tours Program webpage.
While the campus remains open for core, essential functions, we urge everyone to follow
Gov. Gavin Newsom’s shelter-in-place order. The mandate orders all individuals living
in the State of California to stay home or at their place of residence except as needed
to maintain continuity of operation of the federal critical infrastructure sectors.
Everyone must stay home except to get food, care for a relative or friend, get necessary
health care or go to an essential job. This is a critical intervention to reduce the
spread of COVID-19.
While all instruction will occur virtually through the remainder of the spring 2020
semester, no decisions have been made beyond that. We will continue to keep all students,
including incoming students, informed regarding any decisions that are made related
to instruction for fall 2020.
We understand that decisions regarding the end of the academic year will vary by
school district/school. Please know that we can appreciate the challenges this may
create and, as a result, the CSU has made adjustments to the admission requirements
for Fall 2020. You can find more information on the Cal State Apply website.
The CSU is allowing students to defer their Fall 2020 admission to Spring 2021 or
Fall 2021. This option is available for students who are experiencing personal or
financial hardships that will prevent them for attending any college or university in Fall 2020. Please see our Defer Fall 2020 Admission page for more information.
We understand that the pandemic has up-ended plans for many in our local community.
If you are interested in applying to our campus, please see the Fall 2020 Late Application Requestpage for more information.
