The annual Semester-In-Residence Symposium brings together Biotechnology students, faculty, and industry leaders for the graduating cohort’s final project presentations. This is an excellent opportunity for the community and prospective students to learn about the outstanding work our Master of Biotechnology students produce.
In addition to the project presentations, the Dr. Al Kern Award is presented to the student (or students) who exemplify the program's purpose specifically through their Semester-in-Residence (SIR) project. This award and scholarship is given to those judged most deserving out of the current cohort by advisors and the Director of the program.
