Faculty Center

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

For information and the latest resources for students, faculty and staff, visit the coronavirus web page.

Students can find a list of services available virtually on the student support services page.

The Faculty Center has CSUSM faculty at the core of our mission. The programs and activities that we offer are designed to support the professional development of faculty in the areas of teaching and learning, research, and service. The Faculty Center offers a variety of programs and activities during the academic year. See the calendar for times and locations. You will also receive a monthly update on upcoming events, deadlines, and other announcements. We also have a small library of books to help you with your professional growth that you may come into the Faculty Center to use or check out.

Visit our website often for the latest news about our events and services, and find resources about teaching and learning. Come by the Faculty Center in person to enjoy refreshments, a quiet place to work, our pedagogical library, and the opportunity to meet colleagues informally. We look forward to meeting you!

Designing and Sustaining Collaborative Partnerships

Dear Faculty,
You have probably seen the message from President Neufeldt that CSUSM is transitioning to all virtual work. While the Faculty Center space will be closed, we're still here to help!

Keep Teaching: Additional Support and Resources

QLT reviewers are still available to help, but due to the circumstances surrounding working from home, we're asking that you set up an appointment, first. Email and we'll connect you with someone as soon as possible.

We are also continuing to add resources to our Keep Teaching webpage, including Matt Atherton's quick guide on using backwards design to move to virtual instruction (attached). This guide offers a framework to use when considering how to present your content in a virtual environment.

We will keep this space updated with the latest resources, along with virtual programming.
