What is the Student Philanthropy Council?

Established in 2011, the Student Philanthropy Council (SPC) is a committee of students dedicated to growing the culture of giving on campus and raising money for the Student Philanthropy Fund. Gifts to the "Student Philanthropy Fund Endowed Scholarship" support students in their CSUSM journey. Gifts may also go to the donor's specific designation choice.

Top Four Reasons to Give!

  1. Your gift will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $5,000, thanks to an anonymous donor!
  2. Others gave before you! The reason many programs, scholarships, and other opportunities at CSUSM exist is because of the generosity of past students, alumni, and friends of the university.  Learn how 28 Years of Philanthropy at CSUSM impacts you and your fellow students.
  3. Most students receive financial aid to support their education each year. Gifts to the Student Philanthropy Fund allow for more scholarships to be awarded to CSUSM students.  Read about the 2018-19 scholarship recipient!
  4. Your generosity helps to grow an environment of "giving back" at CSUSM!

Your Giving Options

We suggest a gift of $20.19 in honor of the Class of 2019. Many give more, some give less, but it's your choice! EVERY gift, no matter the size, makes an impact.  Select "Student Philanthropy Fund" in the drop down menu.
