Subject: Academic Excellence & Student Success Fee Website

I am happy to report that in its fourth year the AE&SS Fee has continued to have a positive impact for our students in three important areas.

  1. We have decreased course bottlenecks by increasing sections.
  2. Library hours have been expanded to accommodate more student research and group meetings.
  3. We have provided additional academic support and career advising resources for our growing student population.

We are confident that all of these factors will continue to decrease time to graduation for most students, which will contribute to tuition savings and more time in the work force in your chosen field.

This website has been designed as a repository for information about the fee, including current financial reports and a brief history of the alternative consultation process. This process was informed at every step by students, including members of SFAC, and the hundreds of students who took part in forums or submitted comments and suggestions during the process. We are confident that the structure of the fee reflects that feedback and provides a sound footing for continued student success.
