The following national resources offer information or services to those who have experienced a broad range of behavior, including discrimination, harassment, sexual violence, interpersonal violence and stalking. These resources are independent of the University and do not necessarily reflect the views of the University.

24-Hour Hotlines

1in6

1in6 helps men who have had unwanted or abusive sexual experiences in childhood. Their mission also includes serving family members, friends and partners by providing information and support resources.

Department of Defense (DoD) Safe Helpline

Provides crisis support service for members of the DoD community affected by sexual assault. The service is anonymous, secure, and available 24/7. safehelpline.org, (877) 995-5247

Male Survivor

Male Survivor provides resources and support for men who were sexually victimized as children, adolescents or adults.

Stalking Resource Center

Stalking Resource Center provides multiple services, including training, technical assistance and information about stalking.

Survivor Project

Survivor Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the needs of intersex and trans survivors of domestic and sexual violence through caring action, education and expanding access to resources and to opportunities for action.

US Department of Defense Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office (SAPRO)

Provides oversight of the Department’s sexual assault policy. SAPRO works hand-in-hand with the Services and the civilian community to develop and implement innovative prevention and response programs.

Defending Childhood

Attorney General Eric Holder launched the Defending Childhood initiative on September 23, 2010, to address a national crisis: the exposure of America’s children to violence as victims and as witnesses.

Office of Violence Against Women

The mission of the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), a component of the U.S. Department of Justice, is to provide federal leadership in developing the national capacity to reduce violence against women and administer justice for and strengthen services to victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

Know your IX

Know Your IX is a survivor- and youth-led organization that aims to empower students to end sexual and dating violence in their schools. We envision a world in which all students can pursue their civil right to educations free from violence and harassment.
