Faculty Opportunities

Fall 2024-Spring 2025

The Office of Inclusive Excellence (OIE) is seeking applicants to submit proposals to collaborate for the Fall 2024-Spring 2025 year. Proposals that include ways to move the Diversity, Equity& Inclusion Inventory or the Campus Strategic Planning value of Inclusive Excellence forward will be prioritized. Working as a faculty member with OIE can be done in the following ways:

Faculty Fellow: Ideally, this experience is for an individual who is interested in learning and contributing to university-wide Inclusive Excellence goals within the academy. It may involve a combination of research, administration, and policy issues. Appointments typically last one or two years.

Faculty Partner: The amount will range from $1,200 to $2,500 based on the work. Partners enter into a formal agreement between OIE (Office of Inclusive Excellence) and the faculty member who establishes a shared focus, responsibility, and management of a specific area of interest. This arrangement is designed to elevate faculty members' work strategically for the benefit of institutional effectiveness and improved outcomes. Typically, the term of a partnership is one year.

Faculty Liaison: The amount will range from $500 to $1,500 based on the work. Liaisons act as collaborators that connect OIE's work with various entities across the campus community. Responsibilities can be tailored to opportunities for projects or initiatives specific to priorities identified by the Office of Inclusive Excellence in alignment with the Inclusive Excellence goals and objectives articulated in the campuswide strategic plan.

Ideal faculty candidates will show an active interest in effectively collaborating with the Office of Inclusive Excellence (OIE) and cross-functional areas across the campus community. They will also have demonstrated evidence of organizational skills and practitioner skills working with Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice models and/or Anti-racist, Anti-colonial models or frameworks.

Please note that the opportunities are based on the OIE budget, and the only options are a course buy-out or as a special consultant.
