Summer Scholars Program

The College of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics’ Summer Scholars Program provides students a rich opportunity to conduct research while working closely with a faculty researcher. This 10-week program provides students with an intensive research experience along with seminars and training for enrichment. The Summer Scholars Program will provide the students with a stipend for the research activities they perform and is open to all CSUSM students. 
 
  • The program begins with a Kick Off presentation and Orientation. 
  • Programmed events are scheduled weekly.
  • Poster Showcase - The culminating event is a poster showcase in August. 
  • A tour of a research-related facilities in the area will be scheduled during the 10 week program period.
  • Participating students should expect to work on-site with their faculty mentor 40 hours per week including attending all programmed events. The are a limited number of part time opportunities that require a commitment of 20 hours per week.
