Message from Student Health

Hello military-connected students,

I wanted to introduce myself as a new Psychologist on this campus since February of 2018. I recently worked at the San Diego VA in their Tele Mental Health clinic. I also spent two years of clinical training on the PTSD clinical Team in the Salt Lake City, UT VA while in graduate school. In 2016-17 I worked at the Veterans Medical Research Foundation (VMRF) attached to the VA in La Jolla for a year on a comparison treatment study as the Prolonged Exposure for PTSD therapist. I have been trained in Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) which are both evidence-based treatments for trauma and PTSD. I have also been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia to treat insomnia and specific sleep disorders.  In addition to working with trauma I like to work with depression, anxiety, stress, adjustment, academic performance, and I definitely work with relationship and interpersonal dynamics. I also value and like to work with various identities and multicultural factors.

During Fall and Spring Semesters your student fees cover mental health services here at Student Health and Counseling Services. However, during the summer you have to pay a one time $84 services fee to utilize our therapy/counseling services. If you are interested in therapy over the summer and are willing to pay that fee please let me know. You just pay that at the front desk when you come in to see me after May 25th.

Schedule an intake using the contact information here.
