Making a Payment for a Student

Parents and/or guardians can make payments on behalf of students. Students must first set up a “Parent Pin”, which grants access to their designated parent/guardian to CSUSM’s third-party payment processor.

How to Set Up a Parent Pin

Step 1: Student must log in to MyCSUSM.

Step 2: Student accesses the Student Center.

Step 3: From the Finances section, select “Make a Payment” button.

Important: You must have a balance due on your account to be able to setup a Parent Pin. Be sure your internet browser allows pop-ups.Make a payment

Step 4: In the new window, select “your account” link at top of page.

Step 5: On the new page, select “Add New” in the Parent PINs section.

Step 6: Include all the requested information. Be sure to use your parent or guardian’s email address (and not your student email address). When all data is entered, select the “ok” button.

Upon completion of the form, a welcome email will be sent to the designated parent or guardian, which will include the PIN, a temporary password, and a link to the payment processor.
