Tuition and Program Fees

Fees are based on current CSU fee guidelines. CSU program and tuition fees are subject to change based on the CSU Board of Trustees mandates.

NOTE: Students enrolled in a degree seeking program will not have fees adjusted if taking a required course at an alternative campus location or modality. As of Fall 2020, the cost of tuition is $349.00 per unit. 75 units total are required to complete the BS SLP program.

Effective Fall 2024: The cost for each course will be $370 per unit. 75 units total are required to complete the BS SLP program.

Payment Options

There are several options to pay for your courses and fees.

  1. Apply for the CSUSM Payment Plan through the Student Financial Services website.
  2. If you intend to seek financial aid, it is recommended you submit your FAFSA application as soon as possible.

For the BS SLP Cohort program, a student would apply for:

  • FAFSA #1 for Fall, Spring, and Summer (Semester #1 - 3)
  • FAFSA #2 will apply to the Fall and Spring (Semester #4 & 5)

Please note: Students who start programs during the summer term are ineligible to receive funding through Cal Grant.

Unfortunately, Extended Learning programs, certificates, or courses are not eligible for the Cal Vet Fee Waiver.
