We suggest submitting applications as early as possible to allow for the processing of the application packet. Visa appointment wait times should also be factored in when deciding on session start dates. 

University English Pathway (UEP)

This 12-month program allows student to earn 24 university credits towards a bachelor's degree at CSU San Marcos.  English language support, academic/personal advising and tutoring services are also included.

This program helps students prepare for success at an American university.

Priority Application Deadline is set to allow applicants time for visa processing. Applications received after the deadline will be considered on a case by case basis. 

Additional Tuition Information for UEP, IEP and Conditional Admission: Cost includes tuition and mandatory student fees. Book fees are included.  Health insurance is required and an additional cost. Student recreation fees included beginning Fall 2018. 

Applicants must submit a bank statement, dated within the past 6 months, showing a balance equal to or greater than the total estimated cost shown above.

Study @ CSU San Marcos

Study @ CSU San Marcos is a non-degree program for visiting/fee-paying international students who want to enroll in university classes (undergraduate or graduate) for credit for one or two semesters at California State University San Marcos.

Priority Application Deadline is set to allow applicants time for visa processing and course planning. Applications received after the priority deadline will be considered on a case by case basis. 

*Beginning Fall 2018, standard tuition rate includes registration for 12 to 15 units for undergraduate programs and 9 to 12 units for graduate programs. Study @ CSUSM students are responsible for paying for their own course textbooks, lab fees, etc. Health insurance is required and an additional cost. 

**A student can mix graduate MBA courses with undergraduate courses for prorated costs. Please contact the ALCI for specific tuition details.

Conditional Admission to CSU San Marcos

Tuition, fees, and estimated living expenses are different for students seeking conditional admission to CSU San Marcos.
