Academic Notice & Reinstatement

Academic Notice 

An undergraduate student will be placed on Academic Notice if the cumulative CSUSM GPA or the cumulative overall GPA (including transfer credit) are below 2.0. The student will be advised of Academic Notice status from the Office of the Registrar.

Reinstatement

Once a student is disqualified, they may petition to be reinstated to the University. Reinstatement must be based upon evidence that the causes of previous low achievement have been removed. Reinstatement will be approved only if the student is able to provide compelling evidence of thier ability to complete the degree.
